You will:
- Serve as the functional owner for the Workday Financials Contract to Cash (C2C) domain, including but not limited to Customer Contracts, Billing, Receivables, Revenue, cash collections and related integrations.
- Translate business requirements from Finance, Sales Operations, and Billing teams into scalable Workday FINS configurations, security models, and business processes, documenting designs and impacts.
- Design, configure, test, and deploy enhancements and new capabilities in Workday FINS to support quote-to-cash, revenue recognition, invoicing, and collections processes, using Workday best practices.
- Own and execute the Workday release cycle for C2C, including impact analysis, regression test planning, test execution, and communication of changes to stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and GTM teams to identify process gaps, standardize workflows, and drive automation that reduces manual work and improves data quality and SOX/control adherence.
- Build and maintain functional documentation, including configuration workbooks, process flows, test scripts, and knowledge articles for end users and support teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across Workday FINS, integrations, and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., CRM, data warehouse, cash collection application), performing root cause analysis and implementing durable fixes.
- Define and monitor key success metrics (e.g., invoice accuracy and timeliness, close-cycle duration, manual journal volume, exception rework) and use these insights to prioritize and validate enhancements.
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects (such as new product offerings, pricing changes, and global expansions) to ensure Workday C2C design supports scalable, compliant operations.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and guidance to analysts, developers, and business partners on Workday FINS capabilities, roadmap, and configuration options related to C2C.
- Manage and prioritize a backlog of C2C-related requests, balancing strategic initiatives with operational support, and maintain transparency with stakeholders on status and timelines.
- Support change management activities including UAT coordination, training content creation, and post-deployment hypercare for changes impacting finance and revenue processes.
- Use AI-assisted analysis (e.g., anomaly detection, pattern recognition) on billing, collections, and revenue data to identify break points, exceptions, and automation opportunities in the C2C process.
- Pilot and iterate on AI-powered configuration, test, and documentation tools to accelerate Workday change delivery while maintaining accuracy and controls.
Your team will:
- Partner across Business Applications, Finance, Accounting, and Go-To-Market operations to design and maintain the systems that power LiveRamp’s Contract to Cash lifecycle.
- Own the Workday Financials footprint for C2C and collaborate with CRM, data, and integration teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end quote-to-cash experience.
- Deliver projects that streamline order-to-invoice workflows, improve revenue recognition accuracy, and enable timely, reliable financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain governance, standards, and best practices for Workday FINS configuration, testing, and release management across the C2C domain.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to Finance leadership, providing system and process recommendations that support scale, new business models, and global expansion.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement, using metrics and stakeholder feedback to identify high-impact enhancements and reduce technical and process debt in C2C.
- Incorporate AI and ML-driven insights into dashboards and metrics so Finance and GTM leaders can proactively manage DSO, billing quality, and revenue leakage risks.
- Experiment with AI-based automation (e.g., intelligent workflows, smart routing, summarization of defects/incidents) to reduce manual touch points across the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
About you:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Workday Administrator or consultant, with deep expertise in Contract to Cash-related modules (e.g., Customer Contracts, Billing, Receivables, Revenue).
- You are deeply curious about how systems, data, and business processes work, and you naturally dig into configuration details rather than treating tools as black boxes.
- You are hungry to learn and a true lifelong learner—you actively seek out new Workday features, product updates, and best practices, and you enjoy sharing what you learn with others.
- You are a go-getter who takes ownership of problems end-to-end, follows through on commitments, and is comfortable driving work forward without needing constant direction.
- You are an experimenter who prototypes, tests, and iterates; you’re comfortable trying new approaches, measuring outcomes, and quickly adjusting based on what you learn.
- You are systems-minded and enjoy thinking in terms of processes, dependencies, and edge cases; you naturally anticipate downstream impacts before making changes in production.
- You are detail-oriented and disciplined, especially when it comes to documentation, testing, and change control, and you understand that small configuration changes can have big consequences.
- You are a strong collaborator and communicator, able to translate between business language and system behavior so that stakeholders understand both the “why” and the “how” of proposed solutions.
- You are calm under pressure and comfortable troubleshooting ambiguous or complex issues, methodically working through hypotheses until you find and fix the root cause.
- You are service-oriented, finding energy in helping Finance, HR, and business partners be successful through reliable systems, high-quality data, and thoughtful support.
- Curious about AI and automation and comfortable learning new tools (e.g., copilots, code assistants, or analytics platforms) to boost your impact even if you haven’t used them formally before.
- Confident in asking questions, running small experiments, and using data/AI-generated insights to challenge the status quo and propose better ways of working.
Preferred Skills:
- Workday Pro or Workday certification(s) in Financials, Revenue, or related domains.
- Experience integrating Workday FINS with CRM, billing, data warehouse, or other upstream/downstream systems supporting quote-to-cash.
- Background working in a public or pre-IPO company with SOX and financial control requirements.
- Familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition concepts (e.g., ASC 606) and how they are operationalized in Workday.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools (such as Tableau, Workday Discovery Boards, or BI platforms) used by Finance and Accounting teams.
- Prior experience in a Business Applications, Enterprise Systems, or Finance Systems team working as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders.
- Has used AI tools to streamline Contract to Cash work (e.g., generating Workday C2C test cases, drafting billing/collections process documentation, summarizing defects or incidents), reducing manual effort and cycle time for releases.
- Regularly leverages AI to improve C2C decision quality (e.g., quickly analyzing invoice, collections, or revenue data patterns, comparing configuration options, or pressure-testing proposed changes) and then validates results against Workday data, controls, and finance policies.
