About the job
Where AI Meets Quality Engineering — And You Drive Both
Most QA professionals talk about integrating AI into their workflows someday. In this role, someday is today. We're hiring a Senior Software Quality Analyst who can pair deep test automation skills with generative AI tools — Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI API — to redefine how a modern engineering organization ships with confidence.
This is for the engineer who treats quality as a craft, not a checklist. Someone who'd rather build intelligent test systems than run the same scripts on repeat. If you want your next role to feel like a leap forward, not a lateral move, read on.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
- Architect AI-enhanced testing strategies that go beyond traditional coverage — using GenAI to surface hidden edge cases, auto-generate test scenarios, and rapidly triage failures.
- Develop and evolve Selenium WebDriver automation frameworks in Python, Java, or JavaScript, keeping suites performant, maintainable, and browser-agnostic.
- Embed quality into the delivery pipeline by configuring and optimizing test stages in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps — so nothing ships unvalidated.
- Turn raw data into quality intelligence. Mine test results, production logs, and telemetry to spot trends, reduce defect escape rates, and build KPI dashboards (coverage, defect density, MTTD) that leadership actually uses.
- Collaborate upstream with product and engineering to shape acceptance criteria and testability before development kicks off — not after.
- Elevate the team through code reviews, mentorship of junior analysts, and evangelizing GenAI-assisted practices across the organization.
Why This Role Stands Out
- GenAI is operational, not aspirational. Tools and cloud infrastructure are funded, provisioned, and actively encouraged — no proposals or justification required.
- You sit with engineering, not behind it. Quality is woven into every phase from design to deploy; you're a partner, not a gatekeeper.
- Lean by design. Documentation lives alongside automated checks — concise, current, and useful. Bloated test plans don't exist here.
- Every test pulls its weight. Suites are continuously refactored and pruned so the pipeline stays fast and meaningful.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in software quality assurance, including 3+ years hands-on with test automation.
- Selenium WebDriver proficiency — Page Object Model, synchronization strategies, multi-browser execution.
- Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for building and extending automation frameworks.
- Real-world GenAI experience — you've used tools like OpenAI API, Claude Code, or Cursor to tangibly improve engineering outcomes.
- CI/CD pipeline know-how — configuring and troubleshooting test integrations in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Analytical ability — SQL fluency, log analysis, and comfort with visualization platforms such as Grafana or Tableau.
- Strong communication — you can distill complex test findings into clear, business-relevant narratives for diverse audiences.
- Remote-first readiness — disciplined, proactive, and effective working asynchronously across time zones.
Even Better If You Have
- Hands-on API testing experience (Postman, REST Assured, Playwright).
- Exposure to load and performance testing (JMeter, k6, Locust).
- Familiarity with containerized testing via Docker or Kubernetes.
- A background in security, accessibility, or mobile automation (Appium).
- Open-source contributions in the test automation space.
What You'll Walk Away With
- Industry-leading GenAI-QA expertise — methodologies most teams won't adopt for years.
- Production-scale pipeline engineering knowledge spanning multiple product lines and complex release workflows.
- Strategic quality leadership skills — from executive dashboards to statistical defect forecasting that shapes product direction.
- A defined career trajectory — whether your path leads to Staff QA Engineer, QA Manager, or a cross-functional leadership role, you'll have the mentorship and visibility to get there.
Quality engineering is evolving fast. This role puts you at the front of that wave. If you're ready to lead, not follow — let's connect.
