Qualifications:

You should have:

  • intermediate in science or arts
  • up to six months of relevant experience; training will be provided for data collection and handling
  • basic knowledge of the English language (reading and understanding)
  • good collaborative and interpersonal communication skills
  • basic understanding of data collection, handling, and data entry
  • proficiency in computer skills, particularly MS Office.

The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-Facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Pediatrics Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Vascular Surgery. The department has 120 full-time and part-time faculty committed to teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency, and fellowship programs are integrated into the academic functions of the department.

This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position.

Job Role / Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

  • collect data from different areas of the hospital, such as the recovery room and wards
  • ensure data handling with strict confidentiality
  • perform accurate and timely data entry
  • coordinate study drug transportation from the pharmacy to the operating rooms
  • liaise with faculty for planning and execution of data collection
  • prepare and share quarterly reports with the concerned faculty regarding progress on data collection
  • maintain and organise study records and documentation in line with protocol requirements
  • support monitoring visits and audits by ensuring the required documents are readily available
  • follow study protocols, SOPs, and ethical guidelines during data collection
  • coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate smooth study operations.
