Description:
You're the engineer who keeps more than 50 SaaS products running when others are improvising. We need DevOps professionals capable of navigating unknown AWS environments, restoring order from instability, and driving uptime beyond 99.9% through genuine monitoring, genuine automation, and genuine root cause analyses. You'll break down complex projects into one-day increments, deliver production-ready Python or JavaScript, and use AI as your assistant.
Most organizations talk about "the cloud" while manually tending servers. We're systematizing reliability across dozens of acquired products whose original creators have departed and whose documentation is incomplete. That's the challenge: you'll leverage agents and current tooling to explore unfamiliar systems 5–10× faster, document what you discover, and automate it so future incidents are prevented. Rather than judging you on certifications and vendor names, we'll observe you troubleshoot in real time, produce an actual 5-Whys that identifies one preventable root cause, and create automations that withstand production conditions.
This is not an L2 "follow the runbook" position. Here, you author the runbooks, architect the deployment path from dev to staged to 10% to full rollout with soak periods and rollback conditions, and construct the monitors that detect edge cases. You stop unsafe changes before execution. You distinguish infrastructure failures you own from application bugs Engineering owns, and you route permanent resolutions to the correct team.
You'll operate at the engineering center of reliability, owning infrastructure initiatives, incident response and root cause analyses, and change requests with copy-paste-ready runbooks. If you've already managed a significant SaaS product and want to extend that expertise across a portfolio, join us. Bring expert-level AWS knowledge, production-grade development skills, strict scope discipline, and daily, critical application of AI tooling. If you're prepared to maintain operational continuity, please apply.
